The trail to Trolltunga

Information about the trail to Trolltunga

The hike to Trolltunga is long and hard. The trail is 10km each way on all our summer and autumn tours. On our winter hikes (March-May) the road to P3 is closed which leads to the hike to Trolltunga being 14 km each way. There are a few longer hills to climb but the trail is easy and wide. There are no sections where you need to climb and no technical parts of the trail.

  • For the best and recently updated information about trek check out the official website of Trolltunga

  • For daily updates about the conditions of the trek, see “Trolltunga Trail Information” page on Facebook.

  • For information on how to get to our meeting point P2 Skjeggedal, tips on accommodation or how to get to this area go to our Getting here page.

  • The weather is unstable in the mountains so weather forecasts are not always reliable. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best! If you need to rent equipment you can find that page HERE. We usually get our weather information from this webpage: YR.no
