Join us for a spectacular kayaking adventure in Hardangerfjord! Experience the breathtaking beauty of Hardangerfjord from the water on this 4-5 hour sea kayaking tour. Paddle through the clear water surrounded by towering mountains, lush green valleys, and the magnificent Folgefonna glacier in the distance. This adventure offers a unique perspective on one of Norway’s most stunning fjords! Join us for a peaceful and immersive nature experience while being introduced to the area’s cultural history. 

The price includes a certified kayak guide with extensive knowledge of the surroundings and the local history. Our guide will keep you happy and safe as you embark on this little adventure around the fjord!

No prior kayaking experience is needed—our professional guides will provide all necessary instructions and ensure your safety throughout the journey.

However, we require all particpants to be strong and capable swimmers. Children under 12 years old are not eligible to join the tour. Children 12 - 15 years old must be in a tandem kayak with a parent. Maximum weight limit is 130 kg.

  • Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced paddler, this adventure offers a perfect mix of exploration, relaxation, and discovery. Bring a layer of wool to wear underneath and sneakers that can get wet. The tour is safe, and our guides will do their very best to take care of you but it is also important that you have the equipment (clothes) and physical strength necessary. 

    We’ll meet at Brannstasjonen Kafé and Store in the morning or the afternoon, where your guide(s) will outfit you with gear. From here it is a very short walk down to Tyssedal Harbor. On the docks, we go through the necessary security and safety information, before embarking on the adventure. 

    Depending on the group we expect the whole activity, including the instruction, to take 4-5 hours.

    • If the weather is posing a risk to safety we reserve the right to cancel the tour.

    • Private tours are available on request. Please reach out to us to organize a private tour.

    • The meeting point is Brannstasjonen Kafé and Store, but the paddling takes starts and finishes at the Harbor in Tyssedal, in front of the Hydro Power Museum.

  • What to bring on the tour:

    • Sunscreen

    • Sunglasses

    • Snacks and water (Min. 1 liter)

    • Towel

    • Clothing to change into

    • Thermal / Wool underlayer Pants and long-sleeved shirt + gloves with a good grip (for colder days)

    • Lights shorts / swimming pants + a T – shirt (for warmer days)

    • Hat or cap

    • A pair of sneakers that can get wet

    • You may bring your phone - at your own risk!
