The Best Way To Experience Trolltunga

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Also, the cost may seem expensive but I would've paid way more for this experience because it was that amazing.

Trolltunga Adventures provided the most incredible, memorable, and fun experience we had in Norway.

Trolltunga Adventures provided the most incredible, memorable, and fun experience we had in Norway. Our group of four joined 6 others, plus our guides Marius and Peter, for what turned out to be one of the best adventures I've had in my life. Marius and Peter are both skilled and experienced with hiking Trolltunga, and their customer service skills are top notch. We met at 11:00 and started the hike around 12:00, taking the trail at our group's pace as we weren't in a rush to get to Trolltunga.

It's important to note that the Trolltunga hike is no joke - it's steep, slippery, and can be dangerous at certain points so you should be in decent shape - and our guides made sure the group was always comfortable and safe climbing the mountain. They had us rest a few times up the mountain and gave us traditional Norwegian snacks like lefsa and plenty of chocolate! There were plenty of natural streams to fill up our water and Marius made sure we all had our water bottles filled before moving along the trail.

High quality tents, sleeping bags, and even hot water bottles for the cold night

We stopped around halfway for lunch, which was sandwiches made (and carried by) Marius and Peter, and we enjoyed them overlooking one of the many fjords. Peter left us a little early to set up our camp while Marius continued hiking with us to Trolltunga. Once we got to the tongue, Marius watched over our packs while our group took pictures, walked out onto the tongue, and got our fill of the views. After we'd finished at the tongue for the evening we hiked a little more to our camp for the night, which consisted of high quality tents, sleeping bags, and even hot water bottles for the cold night ahead.

Dinner was an incredible meal of traditional reindeer stew

We did a small hike to the original pulpit rock to watch the sunset, where Marius and Peter brought us hot coffee and tea to enjoy. Dinner was an incredible meal of traditional reindeer stew, and we capped off the evening with chocolate around the campfire.

We were greeted the next morning with hot coffee and tea at our tents, and enjoyed a warm and filling breakfast of oatmeal with raisins and butter. After we packed up we went back to the tongue to experience it in a different light, and we stayed for another hour or so while Marius again watched our things.

The hike down was just as hard as going up, so make sure your knees are prepared! We took breaks and the guys had more snacks for us on the way down. We walked down mostly as a group (some of us were much faster than others) and before departing this amazing adventure we sang the praises of Marius and Peter.
