Trolltunga is located in the Hardangerfjord region in Norway. Hardangerfjord is close to Bergen and Haugesund, and is considered one of the most beautiful areas in Norway. Two national parks, two national tourist routes, fjords, waterfalls and glaciers await you. The Hardangerfjord is 179 km long and is the 3rd longest fjord in the world. Greatest depth is 900 meters.
Odda is surrounded by rushing waterfalls, emerald fjords, blue glaciers, silvery peaks, lush valleys. This is the largest city in this region and is located 20 minutes drive from the starting point to Trolltunga. If you want to travel in this region, it’s easiest to rent a car. But you can also go by bus, boat and train. Check out our list further down.

Drive to Tyssedal on route 13. Follow the signs to Skjeggedal, partly on a private road. After around 7 km you will reach the parking lot in Skjeggedal.

You can travel by train (NSB) from Oslo to either Voss, Geilo or Bergen, where you´ll to take a bus to Odda

“Hardangerfjordexpress" is the shortest and most beautiful way to travel from Bergen to Odda. You can take the boat from Bergen (both city centre & Bergen Airport) to Rosendal, with corresponding bus connection to Odda.
