Our toughest trek

See wildlife, get magnificent views of the landscape, and experience the solitude that only a backpacking trip away from the crowds can provide.

However, we want to be clear, this is a though trek. You need to be fit and have some trekking experience to join. Be prepared to walk for most of the day, as we cover around 24 km the first day. We start at 480 meters above sea-level, up to 1400 before we move down again to camp at about 1200 meters.

This trek takes you away from the main trail right from the start. We walk on the opposite side of the picturesque valley in Skjeggedal, moving towards the mountains and solitude. We meet up early at the Skjeggedal parking lot. For the first two hours we walk uphill, and enjoy the first break as we reach a small and cosy cabin. We are now officially in the mountains!
The first day we try to walk with low pace, with short pit-stops to drink and have a snack.
The main goal on the first day is to reach our camp situated 1 kilometers from Trolltunga. Hopefully (and most likely) we'll get there early enough for the sunset.

We have a special campsite here, a bit away from the crowd. At night we'll make a bonfire and enjoy the magnificent weather and solitude. 

Next morning you'll wake to breakfast and coffee/tea, before we break camp and have our last visit at Trolltunga. This day is the easiest: from Trolltunga it's about 12 km back to civilization. We will be down between 2-3pm.

We'll provide all the equipment. Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, food, coffee/tea. All you need is a backpack, warm clothes and some snacks for the second day.
